Dear potential student
I hope this letter finds you well and thank you for coming to me for advice, as I have learnt a lot on this course so far. I heard you are looking at doing your NQF level 5 and thought you may be interested in the college that I am attending at the moment.
Caversham Institute is a beautiful college based in Durban at a place called the Manna house. It is a very comfortable and friendly atmosphere, so much so that you feel like you are all family. This course has meant a lot to me over the last two years. It has made me feel a lot more confident in myself and helped me to know I can put my mind to anything and I can cope with it.
There have been a few challenges but I have always tried my best and managed to pull through.
I have also made amazing new friendship and I was able to go to lecturers every second Saturday morning from 8:00 am to 12:00-12:30 and also had the most amazing lecturer, which made it so much better. She had good energy and was very helpful and understanding. The methods of teaching that really helped me along the way, were the over- head projector at lectures with information and also the lecturer who discusses things verbally to you, also being able to go over my notes at home and then, I would do each assignment in rough first and then into a neat copy when I felt I was content with what I had written. Working alone and listening to voice notes with group work at lecturers helped a lot too.
I got my information from my notes, by going a few times through the two years to a school to see how daily routines work, which helped a lot, also by sometimes going online.
I hope my letter helps you decide about enrolling in our in our beautiful college.
Wishing you everything of the best,
Yours Sincerely,
Shevaughn Dowling
