Caversham Institute’s Ultimate Goal is to be the ‘go to’ quality ECD teacher training provider, by inspiring and professionalising ECD teachers to live and leave a lasting legacy.

What do we offer?
Caversham Institute offers two accredited ECD qualifications at National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 5; post matric & pre-degree and also professional development short courses.

The students and their needs are considered on an individual basis as well as an overall group. I see first-hand the effect the support and encouragement have on the students, who then pass along the same support to others in their own families and communities.
Many students have started their own businesses, becoming principals with their Caversham achieved NF5 qualifications. This, in itself, is a powerful achievement, but, additionally, the students all attest to the profound personal growth.

Distance/ Hybrid
Clara Genade – I just want to plant seeds in children’s lives. Even if it doesn’t always seem to grow right away, it will show in a few years. I want to leave footprints in every child’s life that passes through my hands. To be the best teacher I can be everyday! I am so proud I did it, I have completed my ECD diploma and did not quit!!
Gwyn – I wanted to let you know that I am so grateful to Caversham for the opportunity to study Early Childhood Development and obtain my diploma. I thoroughly enjoyed the course, I learnt a great deal and definitely grew as a person as well as a teacher. It was a privilege to have Vanessa as a teacher and mentor. Her passion was contagious, and she was always available to help and guide.
I also wanted to let you know that my husband and I have received an amazing offer to teach at an international school in Cambodia. I will be teaching the 2-3 year olds. This would not have been possible if it had not been for Caversham and the online courses.
