Since 2006, we have been dedicated to qualifying teachers of young children, equipping early childhood educators with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to inspire lifelong learning and make a lasting difference.

WHO WE ARE?

Caversham Education Institute or Caversham Institute (CI) as it is fondly known is passionate about offering world-class, in-service training for early childhood development teachers, practitioners and preschool owners.
We are an accredited, not-for-profit training provider established in 2006 and with a proud history of offering accessible, relevant, innovative and individual centered training.

Caversham Institute’s Ultimate Goal is to be the ‘go to’ quality ECD teacher training provider, by inspiring and professionalising ECD teachers to live and leave a lasting legacy.

What do we offer?

Caversham Institute offers two accredited ECD qualifications at National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 5; post matric & pre-degree and also professional development short courses.

I came to Caversham with a very basic understanding of working with Early Childhood Schools. My job demanded that I worked with teachers at the rural areas, but my knowledge was very limited. I have gained a lot of confidence in doing my daily work.

I see first-hand the effect the support and encouragement have on the students, who then pass along the same support to others in their own families and communities.

Many students have started their own businesses, becoming principals with their Caversham achieved NF5 qualifications. This, in itself, is a powerful achievement, but, additionally, the students all attest to the profound personal growth.
