Since 2006, Caversham Education Institute has offered world-class, in-service training for ECD teachers, practitioners and preschool owners. We are an accredited, not-for-profit training provider, and our mission is to transform communities by empowering, educating and equipping women to own and work in ECD centres as sustainable businesses.
Many of our students are already working in preschools and cannot afford the full cost of a qualification. Your funding removes that barrier. One sponsored teacher goes on to shape hundreds of young children, and often opens or leads her own ECD centre.
“I came to Caversham with a very basic understanding of working with Early Childhood Schools… I have gained a lot of confidence in doing my daily work. In fact I am now able to assist and guide ECD teachers… I am so proud of myself for joining Caversham.”
Nosipho Gumede, student
“I see first-hand the effect the support and encouragement have on the students, who then pass along the same support to others in their own families and communities. Many students have started their own businesses, becoming principals with their Caversham achieved qualifications.”
Carry Paterson, lecturer
