Encouraging truth always results in a need to change. Learning is the result of cognitive dissonance. This is the difference between what you know and what you believe you need to know. When there is a distance between knowledge and need, learning can take place.
You might not see the need to change because you don’t see a difference between what you know and what you need to know. In fact, you think you are fine just the way you are. The truth, however has a way of reminding us that learning and change is needed.
It’s easy to settle into a way that resists truth. It’s not that you don’t want to know the truth; it’s just easier to stay the same than it is to change. When you encounter truth, you will change. You can’t embrace truth and stay the way you are. Identify the source of the source of the truth in your life. What makes you believe somethings are true and others are not.
